This special edition hat is a replica of the one I made for Kevin Costner’s character Hayes in the western movie: HORIZON - An American Saga. (a film series directed, co-written, and produced by Kevin Costner). The hat color is an exclusive bluish gray that has not been available in any other Recapitate hat style.
Recapitate hats are handcrafted in the Mojave Desert. Each carefully built for you by musician/hatter Todd Fink (The Faint).
Color: Blueish Gray (special edition). (All hats pictured are actually the same color. The apparent color differences are due to variations in lighting and photo treatment.)
Crown height: Fairly tall
Brim: Flat, natural. 3 3/4" in proportion to size Medium (58cm 7 1/4).
Felt: Fine 100% pure rabbit fur felt.
Sweatband: Premium black goat leather
Hat band: 5/8” wide Aged black goat leather with thin black deer leather atop.
